André Stern

Born and raised in Paris in 1971, son of the researcher and founder of Malort Arno Stern, he is married and has two children. He is a musician, composer, master guitar maker, journalist and author of the bestseller “… und ich war nie in der Schule” and, together with Arno Stern, the book “Mein Vater, mein Freund”.
As a freelance education expert, he is a sought-after speaker who is heavily involved internationally (Europe, USA, Canada, Africa, India) alongside forward-looking players in the education landscape. He also works closely with his father and, together with Prof Dr Gerald Hüther, is the founder and director of the “Men for Tomorrow” initiative.
André Stern also heads the “Institut Arno Stern, Labor zur Beobachtung und Erhaltung der spontanen Veranlagungen des Kindes” and initiated the “Ecology of Childhood” movement. He is one of the protagonists in “Alphabet”, the film by Erwin Wagenhofer, and co-author of the book of the same name.
